⚠️
If you are unable to see other users' video, it may be due to firewall or security programs installed on your device. Please check the firewall and network settings guide. Also, please make sure that your browser permissions for camera and microphone are set to allow.
Although I have confirmed permissions by clicking the lock icon next to the URL in the address bar of the browser, the permission notification window keeps appearing. What should I do?
image

To resolve this issue, try the following steps:

  1. Go to the Settings menu from the sidebar or click Host Menu at the bottom right and check the Video/Audio settings.
  2. Check if other video platforms are running. When a video is playing on another platform, the video function in ZEP may not work well.
  3. Update your browser to the latest version.
  4. Check the camera/microphone settings in your OS. If the same issue happens in platforms other than ZEP, your OS settings (windows or Mac) may need to be checked. The path below may differ depending on the OS in use. For Windows: Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera/Microphone > Allow apps to access your camera. After making these changes, please refresh your browser. If the microphone is turned off in the OS settings, the camera may not work as well.
  5. Please note that other programs running on your device, such as virus scanning software and firewalls, may restrict the use of ZEP. To avoid any issues, we recommend shutting down or disabling these programs before proceeding with ZEP.
