ZEP Office Basic Guide

✧ 1. Receiving ZEP Office Notifications

You can send notifications to others by poking their avatars with Z.

You can also receive a notification when the alarm bell on your desk has been poked or when you are summoned by others.

🔔 Allow Notifications

For the best experience, we recommend using ZEP in Chrome.

Please click Confirm to allow notifications in the dialog box above. You will also need to grant notification permission from your Chrome browser as shown below.

✧ 2. Saving Your Seat

  • After entering the Space, find your desk and move your avatar to it.
  • Save your seat by typing @myseat into the chat window.
  • Once your seat has been successfully saved, a bell🔔 will appear on your desk.

  • Now, you can teleport to your seat whenever you want from wherever you are with just a simple click of the My Seat button on the status management window.

✧ 3. Using Private Areas (PA)

  • When the tiles around you get dark, it means you are in a “Private Area.”
  • Users in private areas can only communicate with those in the same private area.

Private Areas in ZEP Office Have a private conversation in meeting rooms, focus zones, and 1-on-1 zones. All the normal communication methods, such as screen sharing and text/video/audio chat are still available here.

✧ 4. Interacting with Others in the Office

Check Your Team Members’ Status

  • The default status is WFH (Working From Home).
  • When you cannot find someone in their seat, you can check their status from the employees list.

  • The employees list will show you how many members are in each team and how many members are currently online.

  • ⚠️ Your team will appear at the top of the list.

Move to Others

  • When you select one of your co-workers from the list, you can see the “Move to” button. You can teleport directly to them by clicking it.
  • Please note that you cannot move to an employee whose status is set to In a Meeting or Focus Mode.

Summon Others

  • When you select one of your co-workers from the list, you can see the “Summon” button. You can send them a summoning message by clicking it.
  • The summoned co-worker has 30 seconds to accept your summon request.

📍 Features

  • Using the Attendance Check App, employees can leave their check-in history.📅
  • Simply open the app and click the Check In button.

✧ 6. Move & Teleport Features

🏡 Status-Based Relocation

  • If you select Focus Mode from the status list, you are automatically moved to the Focus Zone area. If you select Mealtime, you will automatically appear in the Lounge.
  • If you click My Seat, you can teleport to the spot that you saved using the “@myseat” command.

🗺 Mini-Map

  • This feature is available in offices of 50 people or more.
  • Press M to open the mini-map. Clicking the colored points sends you to each location.

🚗 Sidebar

  • Move to the desired spot by clicking it from the sidebar.
